Basic Handgun Training

For Beginners

NEXT CLASSES:

MAY 22th, 2022 – 10 AM TO 12 PM

MAY 28th, 2022 – 1 PM TO 3 PM

Class sizes will vary from 2 to 8 students for more of a private training experience. This class is ideal for a beginner/first time shooter/refresher. In this class the student will have an option of training with a 9MM or 22LR. The instructor will provide the gun rental and ammunition, both are included in the class fee.

If you have your own firearm and will be bringing it to the class, you will need to provide your own ammunition. There will be no adjustment to class fee.

You do not need to own a firearm to take this class. You must be 21 years and older.

Instructors will accommodate students 14 years of age and older with a guardian over 21 attending the class.

All of our instructors offering private lessons are also CCW instructors and can answer any CCW questions if that is also something you are interested in next.

Basic Handgun Safety
Functioning of firearm: check for clear & safe removing magazine.
Opening Cylinder/Locking Slide To Rear.
Loading & Unloading
Fundamentals: Stance & Grip.
Aiming (sight alignment/sight picture)
Trigger Control
Dry Firing
Live Fire Range Shooting

You Must Provide Your Own Ear and Eye Protection

If you need to purchase your own ear and eye protection The Range Pistol Club next door has various options. If you plan on bringing in your own firearm and need to check if the The Range has your caliber in-stock contact them directly (559) 277-9800.

You do not need to have a PayPal account to book a class. You can book one using “Guest Check-Out”

If any of the times and dates listed do not work for you. Every Monday at 5:30 PM, A walk-in Basic Handgun Class for beginners with the same format and price. It is a walk-in class so class size will vary. For that class, you will need to check-in at The Range Pistol Club by 5:15 PM.

If you have scheduled this class and have missed it please contact Jessica@policescience.com to reschedule you for a future class. Your PayPal payment collects your name and email. Check-in under the name used for the payment/registration. You will receive a reminder email the week of your class under the email used for the payment. If you paid for more then one person a plus one will be added to your reservation.
