Introductory Rifle Course
Carbine 101 is the perfect starting point for new rifle owners or anyone interested in learning to operate a semi-automatic carbine. This introductory course builds a solid foundation in safe handling, loading, firing, zeroing, and clearing procedures. Students will spend time both in the classroom and on the range in a safe, instructor-led environment designed to remove uncertainty and build confidence from the very first lesson. Instruction is paced to ensure that all participants feel comfortable, supported, and capable as they progress, with each skill reinforced through guided practice. The course is led by two former law enforcement professionals who bring years of firearms experience and training to the program. Collectively, they hold California POST firearms trainer and rangemaster credentials, ensuring students benefit from a depth of knowledge and real-world expertise rarely found in entry-level courses. A limited supply of rifles and support equipment will be available for use. Carbine 101 also serves as the prerequisite for all future carbine courses offered at The Range Pistol Club. No prior training is required—just bring your interest and readiness to learn.
