Let us help! The USCCA and The Range Pistol Club want to give back to the Fresno community by offering this low cost Initial CCW class that meets the 16 hr training requirement for Fresno County. Staff from FSO’s CCW Department will also be on hand to answer questions & assist community members with the permitting process.

This class will consist of 8 hrs online course work completed prior and 8 hrs in-person training, Shooting qualification is included and must be completed at The Range.

You must own a firearm to attend an Initial CCW Class.

The shooting test will be at 3, 5 and 7 yards. The instructor will review the target and the course of fire during your class. All firearms listed must be shot, NO EXCEPTIONS. All firearms must be registered to you. The shooting test will be 50 rounds for a combined total. For example if you have 2 firearms, you will split the rounds, and shoot 25 rounds per firearm. Fresno County allows 5 firearms on the CCW Permit.

Please bring your photo I.D. and the firearm(s) you would like listed on your permit. All weapons must be unloaded and in a locked case before entering the facility. Ammunition is available for purchase at The Range next door.

This schedule will be held on a walk-in basis. Check in at the front desk at The Police Science Institute. We recommend you complete your shoot within 30 days of completing the class.

Raffle-Two separate raffles will be held. One for every attendee in the class and one for those who became USCCA Members. A USCCA representative will go over the details during your class.
