Let us help! The USCCA and The Range Pistol Club want to give back to the Fresno community by offering this low cost Initial CCW class that meets the 16 hr training requirement for Fresno County. Staff from FSO’s CCW Department will also be on hand to answer questions & assist community members with the permitting process.

This class will consist of 8 hrs online course work completed prior and 8 hrs in-person training, Shooting qualification is included and must be completed at The Police Science Institute.

You must own a firearm to attend an Initial CCW Class.

Parking spaces will be limited. You can park at the Lifebridge and Range Pistol Club parking lots. There will also be street parking on either Jaquelyn or Jennifer Aves. Parking is also available at the Costco parking lot across the street. The class will be held at the Lifebridge property next door to The Range Pistol Club.

Do not bring your firearms the day of the class.

You must complete your shooting test

within 90 days of taking the class.

When You Are Ready To Complete The Shooting Test On The Scheduled Dates Listed, Be Prepared With The Following Information:

The shooting test will be at 3, 5 and 7 yards. The instructor will review the target and the course of fire during your class. All firearms listed must be shot, NO EXCEPTIONS. All firearms must be registered to you. The shooting test will be 50 rounds for a combined total. For example if you have 2 firearms, you will split the rounds, and shoot 25 rounds per firearm.

Please bring your photo I.D. and the firearm(s) you would like listed on your permit. All weapons must be unloaded and in a locked case before entering the facility. Ammunition is available for purchase at The Range next door.

Raffle-Two separate raffles will be held. One for every attendee in the class and one for those who became USCCA Members. A USCCA representative will go over the details during your class.

If You Would Like To Apply For Your CCW Permit The Day Of The Class Read The Following Information,

The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office CCW Unit will be providing a presentation during class explaining how to complete your Concealed Carry Weapon (CCW) application. Sheriff’s Office personnel will also be available to answer questions and assist you with the application process.

If you would like to complete and submit your CCW application while attending the class, please come prepared by having the following information readily available on your phone:

Photos of two recent utility or other qualifying bills showing your name and current residential address.
A photo of your California driver’s license.
The make(manufacturer), model, serial number, and caliber for each firearm you intend to list on your permit application.

Having these items saved in your phone’s photo gallery before class will allow you to complete your application during the presentation and submit it directly to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office before you leave.
