The Police Science Institute and The Range Pistol Club Share The Top 5 Handguns For Women

Finding the perfect firearm can be determined by personal performace and a budget. We recommend anyone making a firearm purchase to test out the firearm first. The following five firearms mentioned are available on the rental wall at The Range Pistol Club. These firearm recommendations were made by sales associates, management and instructors at The Range & The Police Science Institute. Some of the firearms that we will be mentioning can be difficult to find at this time for purchase. With patience and time you should be able to get your hands on one. The Smith & Wesson

M&P9 Shield, 9MM

The Smith & Wesson M&P9 Shield is an easy to conceal pistol that offers professional grade features with simple operation and reliable performance. We call this one the “Fan Favorite.” You see it, you want it, you hear everyone has it, so you have to have it! This is a smaller compact firearm. A popular amongst women. You will come across it very often at The Range, however it sells out very fast.

SIG Sauer P238, 380 ACP

The SIG Sauer P238 is a compact .380 ACP caliber, single-action pistol. We refer to this one as “The Ghost” it is a difficult handgun to find at this time. We are hoping with time we can get it back on the shelves. For now you can definelty test it out as a rental. This firearm is a ladies favorite.

Glock-19 Gen3, 9MM

The Glock 19 semi-automatic handgun is a versatile pistol thanks to its reduced dimensions. We call this one the “The GOAT” The Glock-19, 9MM is loved and owned by many globally. This is not only a ladies favorite but it is used by law enforcement and the military. Finding a Glock-19 right now is not as diffcult as other firearms and has a friendly price tag.

Bersa Firestorm, 380 ACP

The Bersa Firestorm, 380ACP can also be referred to as the Bersa Thunder; is lightweight semi-automatic pistol. We like to call this one the “Pocket Pistol.”  The Bersa Firestorm is fairly small in size and it is acutally one of the most affordable firearms that we mention in our top five. Since the gun craze that began early last year it may be more expensive in price but still affordable. This firearm will be great for ladies with petite hands.

Springfield XD-9, 9MM

The Springfield XD-9 full size or compact is a sought after firearm for women. It is well built with excellent accuracy and an easy-to-learn trigger. We like to call this one the “Curvy” the built of it makes it easy to use for first time shooters. This is a bigger firearm in size and density compare to the rest of the firearms mentioned. We recommend you test out the full size or the compact before making your final purchase. The Springfield XD-9 does make an appearance in the Range’s show room every so often for you to purchase.
