It is the first ASP training program that is specifically designed for civilians.
ASP has been selling OC products for decades. ASP Defenders were designed as compact, police-grade delivery devices. They were originally designed for plain clothes and off-duty use. Requests for citizen-level training led to the development of the BYOD program.
It’s finally here! ASP and the Police Science Institute have put together a course perfect for beginners and those interested in protecting themselves and the safety of their loved ones. Centered around ASP’s patented Defender series, each student will receive their own Defender kit as part of the class (over a $90.00 value, free included with the course) which will include 1 red live O.C. cartridge, 1 green dry-fire cartridge, and 2 blue inert training cartridges. Students will learn De-escalation techniques as well as proper spray dispersion & evasive distance management. Take this course and better prepare yourself or your loved one’s defensive abilities to defend against unwarranted assaults or worse!

This 3-hour course—which requires moderate physical activity—will teach participants the core BYOD principles: React, Observe, Spray, and Escape (ROSE). Students will leave the class better prepared to protect themselves.
