Course Description

Evidence Gathering TechniquesThis program involves the comprehensive study of criminal, civil and insurance investigations. Students will be introduced to concepts of law and evidence. They will also be given advanced courses in evidence collection, witness interview and interrogation techniques and surveillance operations. The curriculum includes investigative techniques using proven and ethical methods. Students will be trained in the tactics to identify  and defuse threats to the safety of the investigator. Instruction in photographic and video equipment in conduction surveillance operations and the documentation of evidence will be covered in the course.

Career Opportunities

Graduates of the investigation course will be prepared for entry in the field of private, insurance or criminal investigation. Examples are: insurance investigator, surveillance operative, employment background investigator, civil investigator, criminal defense investigator, serurity analyst, district attorney investigator, insurance adjuster, evidence photographer, personal security consultant and executive protection.

Length of Course and Class Schedule

Interrogation Techniques

The investigation program will consist of 160 hours of training presented in three blocks: one 78 hour block, one 42 hour block and one 40 hour block. As with all training courses, the student will be required to take an entrance exam as well as a final exam, which must be passed with a score of 80% or better.
